Choir
Choir is offered at Grove City Christian School for students in grades 6-12. Students learn how to use their voices in a group and solo setting. They practice sight-reading, learn about music theory and music history throughout the choir program. In show choir (grades 7-12), choreography enhances the performance.
6th Grade
Students are introduced to a variety of music, composers, and styles as they learn and correct singing techniques, along with basic music reading and notation.
Middle & High School
Middle school (grades 7-8) and high school (grades 9-12) students sing a variety of music and perform at the Christmas concert, the Night of Fine Arts, and the Spring Choir Concert. They also may perform at the OMEA Solo and Ensemble competition in the spring. The high school choir also performs at competitions and events in the community.
Show Choir
Students in grades 7-12 have a unique opportunity to add choreography to the vocal performance. In this ensemble, students will create a cohesive “show” with pop, Christian and Broadway-style music. Performances include the Christmas concert, the Night of Fine Arts and Spring Choir Concert, as well as community events and festivals.
