  • GCCS partners with Nationwide Children’s Hospital in bringing the Signs of Suicide (SOS) Classroom Curriculum to students on an annual basis. The goal of SOS is to prevent and reduce suicide behavior by expanding the safety net for students experiencing psychological and emotional distress. The curriculum trains teachers and students about the warning signs of suicide and the appropriate responses. SOS is a national suicide prevention program that has been found to be a positive experience that reduces the stigma of depression and teaches students and adults how to support students’ well-being.
