NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Grove City Christian School admits students of any race, color or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities offered at the School. In addition, the School will not discriminate on the basis of race, color or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, tuition assistance, educational programs, athletics and/or extracurricular activities.

Grove City Christian School will not discriminate on the basis of race, color or ethnic origin in the hiring of its certified or non-certified personnel.

A student may be denied admission to Grove City Christian School due to academic, attitudinal, disciplinary or psychological problems. Grove City Christian School serves students from many denominational backgrounds. We do this by respecting the doctrinal issues of other denominations without compromising the faith and beliefs of the Nazarene church. Religious beliefs incompatible with the Nazarene church may be cause for refusal to admit a student.

BACKGROUND CHECK POLICY

Grove City Christian School seeks to partner with families in order to provide a safe environment for all who inhabit the school. All employees are required to have both Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and FBI criminal background checks upon being hired. Teaching employees who hold a credential issued by the Ohio Department of Education must complete background checks every five years. Volunteers who have direct contact with students must also complete a background check every two years.

STATEMENT ON ANTI-RACISM

We believe that racism, in all of its forms including injustice, prejudice, hatred, slander, and the like, is sin. As Christ-followers, we are called to be holy and to love one another (John 13:34-35, 1 Peter 4:8, Galatians 5:13, 1 John 3:18, 1 John 4:20).

We believe that all men are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26 & 27). As image-bearers, all men and women have the same worth and value in the eyes of God and, therefore, must have the same worth and value in our eyes.

As a Christian educational institution, we are committed to teaching our students about and upholding the biblical standard for our staff and students to love one another.
